The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla and the Chinese Ambassador in Cairo, Liao Li qiang, have witnessed the signing of a contract to establish a phosphoric acid complex project on the Abu Tartur, in El Wadi El Gedid governorat, at a cost of about $ 842 million.
The Misr Phosphate Company and the Chinese state Construction Engineering Company and Chinese Wengfu Group signed the deal. The total investment cost of the project is $ 1 billion, with a production capacity of about one million ton annually of phosphoric acid, which is the main material in the manufacture of simple and compound phosphate fertilizers. It will be built in Abu Tartur mining on an area of 560,000 square meters and a storage area of 3 million meters Square.
