Thompson Kelly & Lewis, vertical shaft axial split casing, double suction impeller, single stage centrifugal pump, each unit to be supplied complete with the following pump accessories fitted as a unit: I. Pump Accessories: - Cast iron circular pump base designed to support the complete pump and universal drive shaft assembly. - Universal cardan shaft mounted between pump and electric motor driver. - Aluminum non-sparking type coupling guard. II. Construction and features: Pump shall be built to include the following standard design features: A. Stuffing Box: - Upper stuffing box shall be fitted with standard construction packed gland arrangement. - Lower stuffing box shall be fitted with factory standard design bearing bush, water / pumped fluid lubricated. B. Bearings: - Ball radial and ball upper thrust bearings, grease lubricated. - Lower radial bearing, vesconite or equal, self/pumped fluid lubricated III. Materials of construction: - Casing (in 2 halves): Cast iron - Impeller: Phosphor bronze (Zinc free) - Shaft: Stainless steel - Case wear rings: Leaded bronze - Bearing housing: Cast iron
