Tractebel S.A., Belgium, is the world wide operating energy division of the SUEZ concern, one of the world’s largest utility companies. In particular Tractebel is a major electricity generator and supplier of gas, and is owner and operator of many gas facilities and gas transmission systems, including two LNG terminals.
Tractebel Gas Engineering GmbH (TGE), a 100% owned daughter company, is the gas engineering arm of the Tractebel Engineering Division specifically engaged with the design and construction of plants for the handling of gas from well head to storage throughout the gas chain. TGE has particular expertise in the areas of storage, conditioning and shipping of liquefied gases (LNG & LPG) as well as chemicals.

Over the past 20 years, Tractebel Gas Engineering has gained an outstanding reputation for providing facilities for handling and transporting gases in bulk quantities under cryogenic conditions. This technology can be applied to a wide range of gases from Butadiene, Ammonia, LPG, Propylene, Ethylene and LNG with temperatures ranging from –5°C to –165°C. TGE provides either specific support for engineering, procurement, construction and optimisation of new and existing facilities, or alternatively work is undertaken on a lump sum turn key basis. TGE also provides engineering and the supply of equipment for upstream gas treatment activities.
