DEA at Key Oil & Gas Trade Fair in Egypt – MOC 2016

DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG produces oil and gas in Egypt for more than 30 years and is one of the leading foreign investors in the country.

At the Mediterranean Offshore Conference and Exhibition 2016 (MOC) in Alexandria, DEA presented technological highlights and current projects. As part of lectures scheduled for the technical conference programme and at DEA’s trade fair stand, the company informed expert visitors about the latest developments in DEA’s current oil and gas projects and provided insights into the technical expertise deployed by the company in Egypt as well as on an international scale in exploration and production.

DEA’s current growth projects in Egypt include its own operated gas development project Disouq as well as the West Nile Delta project, one of the country’s most significant development projects in which DEA participates as a partner. Together with its partner BP, DEA is working intensively on bringing West Nile Delta into production in 2017. The production volume is expected to reach 1.2 billion cubic feet of gas per day, which constitutes approximately 25 per cent of Egypt’s current gas production. Accordingly, West Nile Delta will make a significant contribution to the country’s energy supply. Thanks to its production volume from the Disouq project, which launched production as early as 2013, DEA has already managed to double its own crude oil and natural gas production in Egypt.

This year’s MOC was held in Alexandria from 19 to 21 April 2016 and is the key international crude oil and natural gas conference of the year in Egypt.
