 King Salman of Saudi Arabia visit, Last week, to Egypt included a pledge to finance Egypt Energy Sector with more then $20 Billion.
A visit by Apache Executives resulted in another $1 Billion investment during FY 2016-17. This is in addition to investments by other key players in the industry during the past few months. It is worth mentioning that Egypt announced a major gas discovery in the Mediterranean Sea last August 2015, and held an Investment Summit in February 2015 to boost investments in its Energy Sector.
